Philosophy
I have a fairly simple philosophy when working with clients, in that I don’t really consider them “clients” in the traditional sense. To me they are partners, and together we are working to determine the best solution to their particular set of needs.
When approaching a potential project, I view my role as one of a consultant and advisor, more than a contracted service provider. My ultimate goal is to determine the true needs of the client and website, and then figure out the best way to fulfill those needs given budget and time constraints.
Sometimes I am a good fit to fulfill those needs, in which case I will provide a proposal and breakdown of my services so that the client can make a determination if what I’m providing matches what they need.
But sometimes I am not the best option or my skillset does not match what is required. In that case, I try to work with the client to find someone who is, and to provide my experience and understanding of the web design field to act as a liason between the two of them.
Often times web designers might be excellent at what they do, but their ability to communicate effectively with a client, or their understanding of a project might not be in line with the client. In that case, I try to help facilitate communication so that there is a minimum of problems.
For me, the bottom line is not the most important aspect of a project. I would prefer a happy client who gets what they need, even if it isn’t me, at the price they can afford. My job isn’t to milk a client out of their money. My job is to help them know what options fulfill their needs and make those options a reality.
So, if you are interested, please contact me and we can meet up to discuss what it is you hope to do and together we can find the best solution to fit your particular needs. I look forward to meeting you soon!
